Directions to Accessible Museum Entrance

  • Step 1

    Face the front of the building.

  • Step 2

    Move to right of the museum. You will see a walkway.

  • Step 3

    Follow the walkway on the right-hand side of the museum.

  • Step 4

    Continue down the walkway.

  • Step 5

    Arrive at the accessible entrance for the museum.

Accessibility

The Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East galleries span three floors, fully accessible by both stairs and elevator. An accessible entrance to the building is located on the east side of the museum; view the slideshow above for easy directions to that entrance. Parking near the museum is very limited, but people can be easily dropped off in front. Please refer to the parking section for more information.

Available for blind and visually impaired visitors, this tour explores the From Stone to Silicone exhibition featuring ancient Mesopotamia. Touchable replicas are coupled with description to spark discussion about the sculpted art in the Assyrian palace of King Ashurnasirpal II.

Free. Registration required at least one week in advance. The museum welcomes service dogs. Please note that emotional support animals and comfort animals are not permitted. To request a reservation, please complete this form or call 617-495-2916.
